New and Short Term Business:

  • Jackie completed the set up for the PayPal account and Randy added the button to the HOA website.

  • Sue completed and mailed the HOA income tax report.

  • Jackie will put together a list for the new services section of the newsletter. Board members were asked to send her business recommendations. This section needs a name that will not imply that the HOA is endorsing any specific business. A suggestion was "Positive Home Experiences." Also, maybe a note underneath it indicating no HOA endorsement. Randy indicated that the next newsletter should go out in the spring.

  • Randy suggested that we purchase a curb house number painting kit and offer free painting to paid HOA members. It was unanimously agreed.

Ongoing Business

  • New and Improved Newsletter — will include more information about Safe City, reporting crimes, making house cameras available to the police. Also, a section for residents to include recommendations for work (e.g., gardening, fence installation, handymen, plumbers, etc.) This might increase interest in reading the newsletter.

  • Safe City — report suspicious activity to the Safe City web site.

  • Vinyl fence — Carl was not present. No progress by Carl in checking with a lawyer on the wording for an amendment to CC&R 3.7 so that a vinyl fence can be installed on the greenbelt. The amendment will specifically ask if a vinyl fence is acceptable. Carl has agreed to pay the costs associated with the lawyer, printing the letters, two envelopes per lot, and stamps for the mailing and return envelopes.

Future meetings

  • Monthly HOA meeting — April 17th and May 22nd @ 7:00 PM FW Library on 1st Ave in Conference Room 1.
