New and Short Term Business:

  • Clean up of islands and 330th Street hill scheduled for August 27th. Schedule has been impacted by the Pipeline Replacement Project (PSE) parking their equipment on the islands.

  • Neighborhood drive by completed by Sue and Margaret. Letters have been mailed to address shortcomings. There were fewer houses in violation this year.

  • Gas pipe work — John Guay is the Project Manager at PSE. He can be reached at 425-505-3768 or jolm.guayApse.com. Eric Miller is the Construction Manager and can be reached at eric.millerApse.com or 425-417-8522. Some gas meters will have to be replaced if they are too old or in the wrong location. Any concerns about the location and/or installation of the new gas meters can be addressed by calling 888-321-7779.

  • New board members needed - ideas

    • Board members will contact other home owners in the neighborhood to see if there is any interest in joining the board. Nothing so far. Randy will contact Melinda Ruiz to determine her interest. No one has been able to find anybody interested in joining the Board.
    • Personal letter to paid members asking for volunteers to join the board. Decision will be made at the September meeting based on any success in finding volunteers. Randy will draft the letter.
    • Reduce the board members down to five. Review the by-laws to see how the board membership can be changed.

  • A homeowner raised the idea of being able to pay the annual dues on-line. Jackie volunteered to gather information on offerings such as Square.

  • GoDaddy charged $7.99 in September which was confusing since we are using the free web builder product. Randy will follow up with GoDaddy

Ongoing Business

  • Safe City — report suspicious activity to the Safe City web site.

  • Vinyl fence — Carl was not present. No progress by Carl in checking with a lawyer on the wording for an amendment to CC&R 3.7 so that a vinyl fence can be installed on a greenbelt. The amendment will specifically ask if a vinyl fence is acceptable. Carl has agreed to pay the costs associated with the lawyer, printing the letters, envelopes, and stamps for the mailing and return envelopes.

Future meetings

  • Regular HOA meetings — Oct 17th, Nov 14th, Dec 12 @ 7:00 PM FWR on 1st Ave
