New and Short Term Business:

  • Bids being sought to clean up remaining neighborhood islands and 330th Street hill. First bid was for approximately $1,100. No other bids were received. Jackie was asked to get an updated bid to include any beauty bark as needed to cover dirt on the islands.

  • Neighborhood drive by will be done by Sue and Margaret at some point in the future.

  • Community garage sale — 12 or 13 home participated. The coordination with the Ridge HOA seemed to help. The ad for Friday in the News Tribune did not run so Sue will follow up for reimbursement. Jennifer will store the signs.

  • Gas pipe work — no information is available, only rumors; some gas meters may be moved, city may overlay the streets after the project is done, may hire more crews. Sue will contact PSE, again, to get more information.

Ongoing Business

  • 328th Pl Island — resident complaint. Definitely needs to be cleaned up, ivy removed, and limbed. No one on the street is a paid member of the HOA.

  • Safe City — report suspicious activity to the Safe City web site.

  • Vinyl fence — Carl was not present. No progress by Carl in checking with a lawyer on the wording for an amendment to CC&R 3.7 so that a vinyl fence can be installed on a greenbelt. The amendment will specifically ask if a vinyl fence is acceptable. Carl has agreed to pay the costs associated with the lawyer, printing the letters, envelopes, and stamps for the mailing and return envelopes.

  • Upcoming July/August newsletter ideas will be drafted by Randy Cunningham. Sue will provide a list of who has paid 2016 dues.

  • Island pot luck for the residents of the 4th Ave Island was held.

  • Safe City

  • Call for new board members since Scott, Pat, and Kathy will leave at the end of their terms in January 2017. If the situation isn't addressed, a quorum for the Board will not be possible.

  • Car prowlers are operating in the area so be vigilant.

  • HOA is cleaning up the rest of the islands — finalizing the bid.
